ECHOREX IMPRINT
Echorex is a dance music imprint of Marathon Music Group. I worked with Paul Rose (Scuba) and Adam Moujahid (285 Group); who helm Echorex as the two managing the label's A&R and label trajectory; to develop a brand that could feature across artworks. The imprint has launched the career of Austrian DJ and record producer Salute.
I looked to the origin of the label’s name, Echorex, which came from the Italian electro-mechanical delay unit from the 1950s–1970s Binson Echorec delay unit. I was really drawn to the design of the machine, inputs, dials, LEDs etc. and looked to technical drawings for inspiration. Pairing this technical imagery with vivid colour provides a striking and simple visual that echos the dance and electronic music at the heart of the label.
