RADIO NOVA LIVE SESSIONS
Radio Nova is a radio station broadcast from Paris, created in 1981 by Jean-François Bizot. Its playlist is characterised by non-mainstream or underground artists of various music genres, such as electro, new wave, reggae, jazz, hip hop and world music. The radio station often brings in these celebrated artists to perform live, partnering with Marathon Music Group to release a series of EPs for digital distribution called ‘NOVA Live Sessions’. I wanted to use the horizon, sky, sun and moon as a motif throughout the artwork as a symbol of energy, freshness and familiarity. I developed a collaged style as a nod to French Modernist artists, providing a sense of abstraction that mirrored the non-mainstream artists found within the EPs.
